Politics and Health Considerations for the Practice of AntiGravity

BEFORE THE PRACTICE

 (out of respect for everyone)

  • Be on time. The classes have a sequence that should not be altered. In case you are a little late, come in as quiet and silent as possible, not to disturb the class the already started.

  • If you have a medical condition or injury, let the teacher know, he/she will give you variations to take care of the body.

  • Do not use perfume, feet powder, makeup, or lotion before the class and come in with a clean body and feet.

  • Leave your shoes outside the class area, at the shoes´ area, or with your personal belongings.

  • Phones must be turned off or silent during the class.

  • Do not use jewelry or watches,  velcro, zippers, or any pointy thing that could damage the fabric,(mandatory for Antigravity® classes).

  • Use comfortable clothes, no velcro or zippers. Use sleeve t-shirts for Antigravity classes, (mandatory).

  • Do not eat heavy meals 3 hours before the practice.

  • Cancellation must be done 24 hrs before the class, otherwise, there is a fee of 150 pesos, we don’t want to deny a spot to someone and then have a “no show”.

DURING THE PRACTICE

  • We keep presence and silence. Focusing our attention on cues and ourselves.

  • It is your responsibility to take care of your self and not to pass the healthy limits of your own body.

  • Rest when you need to, in a child´s pose or lying down. If you force the body when tired you open the door for injuries.

  • You can drink water but not a lot, wait until the class is over to do it.

  • Use a towel if you sweat a lot, to prevent yourself from sliding in the mat and keep the studio clean. Mandatory for Antigravity classes.

AFTER THE PRACTICE

  • Remain silent while people are still resting.

  • Drink enough water.

  • If you have questions regarding the practice you may clarify them with the instructor.

  • Commit to coming back.

  • Enjoy and share with others the state of inner peace that you have reached.
